June 2026 Newsletter

June already!!

It feels like summer finally, and I’m living for it. It’s been a wild month over here with a few ups and downs, but things are definitely looking up for June! Koner and I are getting married on the 20th and we couldn’t be happier.

If I’m a little MIA on socials or emails this month, it’s because I’m on wedding time!

May Recap:

  • celebrated my 29th birthday with friends!

  • had lots of meetings with wedding vendors and finalized details…hello wedding month!

  • planted wildflower seeds in my garden box and have been eagerly watching them grow

  • got showered with love at our Couple’s Brunch

  • went to Des Moines’ CelebrAsian festival and ate so much yummy Asian food

  • worked with a few brand clients and visited a client that just opened their coffee shop: Goldie’s Coffee & Goods

A Day in my Life

Come with me on a random Tuesday as I participate in a FARA panel, go to physical therapy, work on a branding project, do a little shopping and more.

I’m planning to create more of this vlog-style content in the future, and I have lots of ideas that I can’t wait to share with you all!

PatientsLikeMe Partnership

I wanted to share something I recently became a part of that I think is so meaningful for my fellow FAers. PatientsLikeMe just launched their Friedreich’s Ataxia community, a space where people living with FA (and caregivers) can connect, share experiences, and learn from each other.

It’s an all-in-one platform with:

Real stories: what people are going through, what is helping, and what isn’t!

  • Curated content and resources for education and empowerment

  • Testimonials and product reviews

  • Events and challenges to motivate and entertain

Living with Friedreich’s Ataxia, I have always found it really helpful to see how other people navigate the challenges that I have also faced. That’s why I’m so excited to be a part of this community! If you are a member of the FA community, I recommend checking it out. If you join, let me know! I would love to connect with you there, too.

A beauty brand built on resilience & confidence

I recently completed creative direction for a skincare brand that I am SO excited about. It’s bold but classy, confident but authentic, and it’s based on a woman’s journey to resilience. More to come!

It’s Wedding Month!!!

In honor of wedding month, here are a few of our engagement photos from Maya B Photography! We’re beyond excited for the most beautiful day.

My Current Faves

Making Homemade Ice Cream!

If you have a KitchenAid stand mixer, you NEED their ice cream attachment. We’ve been making homemade ice cream every week and it’s my absolute dream. Literally the best ice cream ever and made with simple ingredients!

This is so refreshing and easy to make in the blender. A summer staple over here!

  • watermelon cubes (I prefer frozen)

  • lime juice

  • a few mint leaves

  • honey

  • pinch of sea salt

Michael Movie

If you haven’t seen this movie in theatres by now, please go!! I’ve seen it twice and would love to go again for good measure. Such a beautiful tribute to the legend.

I’ve been only listening to and consuming MJ content for a solid month now. He’s just the best. 😢

SHAMONE!

That’s all for this month’s newsletter! I hope you found some inspiration from it. Wishing you a delightful month ahead!
