The With Love Newsletter - February 2025
Hey everyone, I’m back!! 💝
I hope your holiday season was lovely. I skipped the January newsletter, but I am ready to pick this habit back up again.
January was a slower month both personally and professionally, which I am totally cool with. It’s a time to hibernate, IMO, not a time to reach all your goals and aspirations. If that was you too, I feel ya.
February is starting to pick up already, and I am getting really pumped about the year ahead!
January Recap:
spent a slow, cozy weekend in Peterson, MN
spoke about disability advocacy at the Iowa Capitol
toured our wedding venue and looked at decor options
worked on a few brands and dabbled in packaging design
stayed inside as much as possible
Brand Reveal: Locust Grove Farm Co.
Locust Grove Farm Co. is a sustainable personal care product company located in Eastern Iowa. They make their products from all natural ingredients, in small batches by hand in their farm soap shop.
We wrapped up Locust Grove’s branding last month and we’ve been working on some custom packaging: lip balm tubes and shampoo bar box. Can’t wait to share those!
Now booking new brand & web clients in March 2025!
Start the new year off right with stunning branding and web design! Payment plans are available.
Scrap & Yap!
In January, I co-hosted an event called “Scrap & Yap” for Creative Social Club, and it was a huge hit!
CSC is a networking group for creatives and small biz owners in Des Moines that I co-founded with my bestie, Maren.
We ate a yummy brunch and spent lots of time chatting about life and our creative endeavors.
It was such a fun morning and we can’t wait to host more events like this one!
In the Kitchen
I spent a lot of the month of January cooped up, avoiding the cold weather, like many of us. That made it the perfect time to try out some new (and old) recipes! Here’s a few of my favorite yummy things I’ve made recently:
Pesto Bruchetta Toast
This is the perfect quick and filling lunch! Plus it feels kind of fancy. Recipe uses english muffins, but I used toasted sourdough bread.

Blueberry English Muffins
These made me excited to wake up so I could eat breakfast. I love the color of these english muffins and they were easy to make!

Tahini Miso Cookies
I’ve made these several times over the past few years, and they have become my go-to cookie recipe.
These are sweet, salty, and a little bit savory. Think elevated peanut butter cookies—they’re really addicting.

That’s all for this month’s newsletter! I hope you found some inspiration from it. Wishing you a delightful month ahead!
